FDA Warns Manufacturers of Mislabeled CBD

Always Choose a Reputable Source for CBD

With the explosion of CBD manufacturers and retailers that has occurred since the federal government legalized industrial hemp in the 2018 Farm Bill, medical professionals, consumers, and regulators have struggled to keep up with the growth in the market. The FDA has not currently explicitly approved any over-the-counter CBD products for human or veterinary medical use. They do, however, take action against manufacturers who mislabel their CBD products.

The FDA is concerned with the prevalence of mislabeled CBD in the market. When, after testing, it becomes clear that the product in question contains ingredients that do not match the labeling, the FDA issues a warning letter to the manufacturer. A complete list of warnings issued since 2015 can be found on the FDA website.

ABSC Organics is Tested in Clinical Trials

Each and every batch of ABSC Pure Organic CBD Oil™ is tested for purity and CBD concentration. And as part of our extensive clinical trial initiative with Colorado State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, our CBD Oil undergoes even more rigorous tested and trials. We’re the only veterinary CBD manufacturer who has completed a Phase One Safety and Toxicity Study, which proved that our CBD is safe and well-tolerated in dogs. Researchers at CSU are also using our product in canine epilepsy and osteoarthritis studies.

ABSC Organics applauds the FDA’s attempts to keep inaccurately labeled CBD oil out of the market. When you buy ABSC Pure Organic CBD Oil™, you can buy with confidence, knowing you’re buying the same CBD used in industry-leading clinical trials.
